September 16, 2020 – Paul Weber – Virtual Reality for Nanotechnology Training -
Virtual Reality for Nanotechnology Training & UVU.edu/physics/nanotech
Virtual reality simulations are fun, but can also be used to great educational effect when training is combined with the fun. In this seminar, I will discuss modules we have designed for training students to use nanotechnology equipment and complete processes which they complete before encountering the real equipment in the laboratory. I will show sample clips from some of these modules and discuss the design considerations for building them as well as some initial feedback from the students who have used them in class.
